As the most cushioned road running shoe in Altra's lineup, the Altra Paradigm 6.0 offers ultimate protection from the pavement during your everyday runs.
The Altra Paradigm 6.0 is revamped and packed with a new cushioning package and a natural guidance technology making it a well-cushioned and luxurious daily training shoe for any runner who needs a wider toe-box and a little more stability.
What You'll Love
- Brand new soft cushioning
- Wider toe box
The Paradigm 6.0 keeps some of Altra’s classic features like their wider toe-box and 0mm heel-to-toe drop but upgrades the cushioning package to an EgoMAX compound that is softer, more luxurious, and lighter than previous compounds. The Paradigm 6.0 also comes with Altra’s GuideRail technology that offers extra medial support and helps overpronators run smoothly through each stride. The updated InnovArch also adds support to the sock liner that encourages better foot placement. Finished with an engineered mesh upper, the Altra Paradigm 6.0 is a great high cushioned option for runners who need some extra protection and support along with a wide forefoot fit.

Comments: Great shoes. Nice improvement over the "5"s. Better fit and feels like more cushioning. There is nothing like Altra's toe box. I average 20 miles a week. Have had arthroscopic surgery on both knees. I feel like these shoes help give me some longevity.

Comments: A big step up in cushioning, equal to Hoka. Much easier to lace than Hoka.

Comments: These shoes rock both physically and aesthetically. As far as Altra's go (no offense but deff not winning awards for prettiest brand :D) these look super cool. They remind me of my sneakerhead days and look like a pair of Nike Air Max's. Even better, and more importantly, they feel great. I am 6'3 with wide feet and I love these both for everyday use and for runs. I am only 24 miles into these but my feet have already accepted them into the rotation. Between my Torin 4.5's (hundreds of miles), Lone Peak 5's (Hundreds of miles), and now these I feel like I am set for both tempos and longer runs. That being said, buyers beware that these are the slightly less wide last of Altra's so if you love the original wide (like the Lone Peak's and Escalante's) these will be slightly less roomy. I highly recommend it!

Comments: Excellent, non-intrusive support and stability. EGOMAX foam has the right bounce and cushioning for me. I paired it with Sole medium insoles for a bit more support and snap-on-toe-off.

Comments: Although I typically select a more neutral running shoe, I've been using the Altra Paradigm since they were recommended by a podiatrist. Probably among the most comfortable running shoes I own. At 10.3 ounces version 6 is noticeably lighter than the Paradigm 4.5 they're replacing.

Comments: I was very happy with two sets of Paradigm 5s so I was hoping for at least the same performance. With 100 miles on the 6s, so far, I am thrilled. Quality is at least equal to the 5s. I'd say the capturing of the heel is better. Nice comfortable fit, and the toe box is roomy as usual.
