What's New

The ASICS Noosa Tri 13 features all-new striking colourways that will grab everyone's attention, but the updated midsole is what truly steals the show. New FLYTEFOAM cushioning provides lightweight durability, while enhanced GUIDESOLE technology helps improve the efficiency of the wearer's stride. This combination helps make the Noosa Tri 13 a versatility superstar ideal for triathletes. However, non-triathletes do not need to worry, as the Noosa Tri 13 is a great lightweight training partner for any type of run.

The Bottom Line

Are you tired of boring old shoes that lack style, and more importantly, colour? If so, then make a statement on your next run with the new Noosa Tri 13. These performance trainers add a splash of flash and a bit of fun to every run with eye-catching colours and quality performance. Built with triathletes in mind and designed to offer top-notch versatility, the Noosa Tri is lightweight and breathable with all the benefits of ASICS's FLYTEFOAM and GUIDESOLE technology. Our In-Depth Look

Shoe Softness i

Firm Soft

Ben: "I found the Noosa Tri 13 to be on the firmer side while running and standing around. However, it is not uncomfortable."

Ride/Energy Return i

Less Springy More Springy

Ben: "This shoe has a good combination of protective cushioning and bouncy energy return. I had no trouble wearing the Noosa Tri 13 on tempo runs, and although I have never competed in a triathlon, I know that this shoe would be a great option for the running leg of the race."

Underfoot Protection i

Low High

Ben: "The FLYTEFOAM cushioning absorbs enough of the shock from ground impact to allow for comfortable running while wearing the Noosa Tri. I was able to run on dirt roads and pavement without joint pain, and I do not think I would have any problem completing a marathon in this shoe."

Underfoot Flexibility i

Rigid Elastic

Ben: "The flexibility reminds me of the typical HOKA shoes and falls on the more rigid side of the scale. The midsole is thicker like a HOKA, so this similarity comes as no surprise. Despite this, my feet can go through the full range of motion while running."

Upper Feel i

Structured Adaptable

Ben: "Compared to the Nimbus or Kayano models, the upper of the Noosa is less structured, which makes it pretty easy to get on and off. I have found that shoes with more structure tend to be more difficult to quickly slip on and off, so triathletes will benefit from the Noosa's unstructured design when they need to transition swiftly. When I took the Noosa on runs in the rain, the breathable mesh performed very well. This leads me to believe that this is a good option for running with wet feet."

Individual Thoughts

Ben8.5/10

While wearing the ASICS Noosa Tri 13, I was able to run a three-mile tempo run during a rainstorm on tired legs without any issues. This illustrates three strengths of the Noosa: its high level of cushioning, its solid midsole energy return, and its highly breathable upper. As a bonus, I received numerous compliments on the interesting design while out and about.
