The BOA Performance Bra offers light compressive support and freedom of movement with its scoop neck and racerback design. Mesh panels on the back provide ventilation and breathability to keep you cool and comfy, while the bra's slightly longer length allows you the option of wearing it as a stand-alone crop top. Our reviewers appreciated the smooth, next-to-skin feel and the bra's comfortable band that didn't dig in. While our testers would have preferred having a bit more high-impact support from this bra, they did like the Performance bra's stylish versatility, durable construction, and budget-friendly price point. When the temps start to climb, we enjoy pairing BOA's Performance Bras with their matching split shorts for added flair during our workouts. Overall, with a variety of fun, bold prints, BOA consistently delivers the pizzazz you want to spice up your next run or workout.

BOA Bra

Features & Style

Score: 6.5/10

Kaitlin: "The fuller coverage design of BOA's Performance Bra makes for a more modest style that can also double as a crop top for some. The bra's thick band also creates a more flattering fit, smoothing any bumps or bulges that can occur at the bra's band."

Risa: "I do like the look of this tank as a set with the BOA split shorts. I also like the concept of a crop top with a built-in bra, although the support wasn’t up to par for me. The bra doesn’t have any pockets or extra features, but the matching fitted shorts come with two side pockets for storing essentials."

BOA Bra

Fit & Support

Score: 6/10

Kaitlin: "The BOA Performance Bra is a step up from most compression bras because of the high-quality material and the band's thickness. The more generous construction allows an accommodating fit for a wide variety of sizes. I am typically a 34/36 D, and I was comfortable in a medium."

Risa: "The bra fits a little loose, and I didn’t find it supportive enough for me personally. It might be OK for someone with an A cup, but I had to wear another bra underneath for running."

BOA Bra

Quality & Value

Score: 6/10

Kaitlin: "The bra has a good, solid construction, which will last your average span for a sports bra. I do feel like this bra needs to go into the dryer, as the band doesn’t seem to air-dry very quickly, which might shorten its life span a little bit."

Risa: "I have washed the bra and dried it (on light heat) a couple of times, and it has held up great!"

As a compression bra, the BOA Performance Bra is a great full coverage option, comparable to a long bra or bra top. The thicker material provides generous coverage and hugs the body comfortably. The large band adds comfort and prevents the bra from rolling up, while the fabric feels soft against the skin and makes it easier to take off after use. My only issue was the band does get very saturated on warm days, and an internal encapsulation would have offered more additional support.

The BOA Performance bra makes for a really cute set for summer with BOA's matching fitted shorts. Especially on hot days and speed workouts, they are fun to wear. When running, I was disappointed that I couldn't comfortably wear the bra without another bra underneath, as it is designed to be worn. However, for A cup sizes, it can be a suitable option.
