Best Men’s Janji Running Clothes 2020
Janji has become known for making amazing running shorts, shirts, singlets, and more. We tested the newest Janji men's clothes to see what all the hype was about. Spoiler alert: We were NOT disappointed.
Janji has been an exciting brand to watch grow, carving out their spot on the podium alongside other running clothing brands that have been in the business for decades longer. What really sets them apart is their ongoing commitment to using high-quality materials and environmentally-conscious practices. The brand also donates 2% of all proceeds to support clean water initiatives around the world. Janji's designs are based on places that inspire them to run, and they work with local artists in those areas to create their unique seasonal styles.
For example, their most recent collection of 2020 was inspired by South Africa, and they partnered with Cape Town-based artists "MRS + MR LUKE" to showcase eye-catching patterns and nature-inspired prints. We've selected some of our favourite men's pieces from this stunning collection and put them to the test. AirFlatOut 5" and 7" Middle Shorts

Our testers loved the AirFlatOut 5" and 7" Middle Shorts for running on the road, trail, and everything in-between. The AFO (AirFlatOut) fabric felt extremely lightweight and breathable, and it quickly wicked sweat to stay dry for longer. These shorts feature a knit waistband that breathes well and stretches to accommodate different waist sizes. The only downside we noticed was that because the fabric was so lightweight, it could show some extra leg, but the 7" version didn't have that problem.

AirFlatOut Astro Singlet

Using the same high-quality AFO fabric as their shorts, Janji's AirFlatOut Astro Singlet provides silky-smooth comfort and a breathable design to make your run feel uninhibited. We loved that there were basically zero seams, which enhanced the comfort and made it stand out compared to singlets from most other brands. Although the length did fit true-to-size, one of our testers noted that the torso might be a little baggy for slender runners.

AirFlatOut 3" Split Shorts

Similar to the longer AFO Shorts, the AirFlatOut 3" Split Short is made from ultralight fabric that barely feels like it's there. Our tester found these to feel quite short, so we'd recommended that you stick with one of the longer options if you don't feel comfortable showing a little skin. One feature that really stood out was the stretch knit waistband, which is slightly thicker than most split shorts but added a natural fit that didn't require any mid-run adjustment.

Rainrunner Pack Jacket

One of our reviewers has run in a number of rain jackets over the years for Winter training, and the Rainrunner Pack Jacket has become their new go-to. Not only is it fully waterproof, but there is a 360¡ vent around the midsection that provides plenty of breathability to prevent the inside from becoming swampy or overheated. Don't let this jacket's lightweight design fool you; it's constructed from stretch ripstop fabric that moves with your body and not against it, while still defending against both wind and rain. Another big advantage to this piece is that you can pack it into itself when not in use and quickly pull it out if the weather goes sour.
