What You'll Love
- Mizuno’s most responsive midsole foam
- Mizuno Glass-Fibre reinforced wave plate for added rigidity
- Grippy and durable outsole
Geared towards going faster, the Wave Rebellion offers a lightweight design with an ultra bouncy ride. The midsole of the Wave Rebellion consists of Mizuno’s ENERZY LITE foam which is the company’s fastest and most responsive compound to date. Staying true to their roots, Mizuno embeds a Glass-Fibre reinforced Mizuno Wave Plate into the midsole for added rigidity and pop. This plate compliments the ENERZY LITE foam making the overall underfoot experience feel lively through toe-off.
The Wave Rebellion also comes with an engineered mesh upper that has a slightly more traditional and structured fit providing runners with the protection and support needed for longer efforts. Finished off with a grippy and very durable G3 outsole, the Mizuno Wave Rebellion has the features needed to go fast, but also the fortitude to go farther.

Previous Feedback
Comments: I've had Mizuno Wave Riders in my rotation for years as a training shoe. I'm older, 61, and have to have a fair amount of drop to keep tendinitis at bay. When I 1st put these on I was not thrilled. They initially have an odd hard feel about them. They actually run quite well. Nice on tempo days. Not as fast as my Nike Zoom Tempo % shoes that I race in but these are terrific for faster efforts. I find myself running about 15 to 20 seconds per mile faster than my Wave Riders or Pegasus 38's, using about the same effort and wattage. They don't have the same spring feel that the carbon plated Nike's have. They do however have a very easy turnover, especially at mid foot. I'm a forefoot striker and neutral. These shoes are not as cushioned as my Nike Pegasus or Infinity, they have a firmer feel. All in all, a great shoe for once or twice a week on faster days.

Comments: Light. Not as fast as some of the carbon shoes, but there is some pop. Comfortable at a variety of paces. Excellent traction. Good cushion, not as much as some but better than the typical rock-hard Mizuno's. Outstanding fit for those with wider feet. Fit a touch large which is perfect for me- I got true to size. Very high build quality. I suspect these will last a long time.
