Features & Style

Kaitlin: "The Helio Tech Tee features a lightweight and breathable fabric, making it a great staple shirt for training. The material has a barely-there feel and creates a flattering silhouette without clinging to my body.''

Risa: "This shirt features lightweight material with quick-drying and odor-control technology. Style-wise, it is a pretty cute shirt, but I didn't care for the visible seam design."

Fit & Comfort

Kaitlin: "This top has a silky feeling for next-to-skin comfort. After many washes and dry cycles, it did lose that soft feeling, which is why I would not recommend putting it in the dryer (and there isn't a need to do so as this shirt is already quick-drying). In terms of fit, I would have preferred a little longer length. I have a slightly larger chest for a size medium (36D), and it felt like it was hitting higher up on me, often exposing my stomach."

Risa: "The shirt fits loose and is comfortable to wear. However, it felt unnecessarily hot. Although the material is lightweight, it felt like it was trapping heat somewhat and not as breathable as my other running tops."

Quality & Value

Kaitlin: "The tee looks the same after months of wear and performs just as well. It is a high-quality, elevated staple piece that knocks most short-sleeve options out of the water."

Risa: "Every Janji product I've tried has been high quality. That said, this has not been one of my favourites because of the lack of breathability in its construction. For $80, I need a very breathable, stylish, and durable running shirt that would justify that price level."

KaitlinOverall score: 7/10

The Helio Tech Tee is lightweight and dries quickly. The shirt did run a little short on me, and I would have liked another couple of inches added to the length. I would not suggest putting this top in the dryer because it did lose a bit of its soft, silky feeling (after about 15 to 20 washes). I would definitely purchase this shirt again, but maybe size up next time for a more relaxed, longer fit.

Overall, I enjoyed wearing this lightweight short sleeve. I liked the textured interior and how the shirt never clung to my body when sweating, but the material did not feel very breathable. As far as aesthetics go, I did like the colourway but wasn't a fan of the cut of the shirt or its visible seam design; however, some women will like this style.
